    Lorene’s Restaurant is a local favorite.  Lorene’s is a Country Style Diner with quality food.  They have a range of home-style meals, from Chicken Fried Steak, Beef Liver, to salads and breakfast skillets. I couldn’t pass up the beef liver with grilled onions, Texas garlic toast, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Mmmmm Delicious! At Lorene’s you get hefty servings.  This is a great place for a family outing.  Lorene’s is located Downtown at 1531 23rd St. and Southwest at 6401 Ming Ave.

      When I visit Bakersfield, I have to eat here at Lorene’s Ranch House also. I have not had any home cooked meals like you described at Lorene’s in a long time.
