Inner Bodyworks Yoga Studio is suited for all levels of Yoga Practice. I enjoy practicing Yoga here because the instructors are knowledgeable and foster a safe teaching environment. They have classes for all levels, from beginners to more advanced. I’m not a Yogi but I prefer Ashtanga, the more strenuous practice. If you’re not advanced there is Vinyasa Gentle Flow, and Flow 1-2. There is also a Restorative Yoga class that is therapeutic. Inner Bodyworks Yoga Studio is located at 1614 20th St.

I found Prosciutto! When I first moved here everyone raved about Luigi’s, so one Saturday, we checked them out. We didn’t expect to wait for seating but we did, and the Parma Prosciutto Sandwich was worth the wait. I love Prosciutto and was so happy to find it here. Luigi’s is a Bakersfield Icon. Their family run restaurant and deli have been in business since 1910. The deli gives you a taste of Italy. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Check out the hours. Dagny’s is the meeting place! This is where I love to meet up with friends, have tea and discuss life. It’s a place where you go for an hour but end up staying two or three easily. You often get distracted by the influx of interesting people strolling up to the counter, but it’s always fun to people gaze. It’s located in a great spot downtown. They have coffee, tea, sandwiches and sweets to choose from; my favorite is the quiche, when they have it. They have free Wi-Fi. Dagny’s is located at 1600 20th St.

Great Castle is Chinese Mandarin Cuisine that ‘s been in Bakersfield since 1979. Its location is not the best nor is the inside of the Restaurant, but if you can get past these things you can enjoy an authentic Chinese Meal. We shared the Garlic Shrimp, House Special Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, and Mongolian Beef. Everything tasted extremely fresh. I love spicy foods, so I had them spice up the Garlic Shrimp and Kung Pao Chicken. I enjoyed all the dishes! Great Castle Restaurant is located at 410 Union Ave.

Randolph’s Lounge gives you choices. This lounge is broken up into two sides: live Jazz Friday and Saturday on one side and Hip-Hop Thursday thru Saturday on the other side. The first time I went to Randolph’s Jazz Lounge I thought I was in Vegas listening to show tunes. On Fridays you can enjoy an evening out and take a Ball Room Dancing class with an Instructor and live Jazz from 6:30 – 9:30. Randolph’s also serves food Monday thru Sunday starting at 11AM. Randolph’s Lounge is located at 7737 Meany Ave. Suite A7.

DiorShow Mascara Sephora Lip Gloss La Mer Moisturizer
I must apply these things before hitting the door. The Dior Mascara lengthens my eye lashes, for more volume. The Sephora Lip Gloss gives me just enough shine and shimmer. And the La Mer moisturizer is heaven in a jar. It gives my face that dewy feel I love.

Last night was my night off, so my husband took me to his favorite Sushi spot. ☺ He loves the Sushi Sports Bar atmosphere. Love Sushi was packed so we decided to eat at the Sushi Bar. This place was overflowing with liveliness. The Sushi Chefs were loud and animated and I loved the music variety. We had the Eel and avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, calamari rings, and Shumai, which was my favorite. Love Sushi is located at 3940 Coffee Rd.

Can you believe 2 adults can enjoy lunch with a drink for under $9.99? Well it’s true at Taqueria San Miguel. I stumbled on this place about a month ago, and I’ve wanted to go back ever since, so today not really knowing the exact location I jumped in my car and began to drive. After aimlessly driving for 30 minutes I finally found the spot, and was so hungry I could eat a horse. I placed my order in Spanish, one shrimp taco and one beef taco, and Jarritos tamarind soda; my friend had a pork burrito and water. We were delighted with our choices, and quite entertained by the lunch crowd. Taqueria San Miguel is located at 1801 Union Ave.

In Your Dreams is a nostalgic haven. This consignment store is filled with clothes, antiques, and a lot of throwbacks. They even have an old Hollywood shrine, with a life size cut out of one of my favorite actors, James Dean. I think he enjoys flirting with me with those piercing eyes. ☺ When I shop here I get side tracked because there are so many unusual finds. I love the vintage clothes, and I want to know who consigns all the cool jeans from the 80’s? I bought a pair of Chic, Gloria Vanderbilt, and Lee’s, in perfect condition and a perfect fit! This place is a funky contemporary establishment of Artistic expression. I’ve visited Metro Galleries for several social calls and I always enjoy the mood. Metro Galleries is an airy space with two floors of distinctive art. By day this place is an art gallery but at night it can be transformed for your specific event. Soon Metro Galleries will be opening a Wine Bar, it’s going to be a happening Spot! Metro Galleries is located at 1604 19th St.
